Johanna Mair Teaching

At the Hertie School of Governance my teaching centers on leadership, social innovation and managing public problems. In addition I co-teach a PhD course on Philanthropy and Civil Society at Stanford University.

I collaborate with the Harvard Kennedy School in the Leadership Program for NGOs in Europe. At IESE my teaching focused on corporate strategy and entrepreneurial strategies for social impact at the MBA, Global Executive MBA and Executive Education levels. I also taught strategy research in the Ph.D. program and course design in the International Faculty Development Program.

In 2007 the Aspen Institute and Ashoka recognized my pioneering role in advancing the curriculum on social innovation and social entrepreneurship and I was awarded “Rising Star” in Social Entrepreneurship.
